Billy Button Babysitting Agency offers a professional childcare service that can be provided at your booked accommodation or in the comfort of your home. Our experienced carers will take your child to local village activities, ensuring their day is filled with a memorable and enjoyable care experience. Please note that we are not a 'mother's help service' that accompanies you around the snow resort or on the mountain. Our insurance policy prohibits participation in on-snow activities and does not cover care outside of sole charge. Therefore, we do not facilitate tobogganing, alpine coaster rides, or assist with swimming and children's bath time routines.

YES!! Not a problem. Multiple families on the same booking need to all be staying at the same accommodation. All families in the booking will need to separately complete paperwork to comply with health and safety. Your bespoke hourly rate will reflect the ages of children in the singular booking, especially if children are under 5 years old. We have many clients that share childcare, and Billy Button Babysitting will happily accommodate your booking if we can.

In Thredbo, Perisher, and Falls Creek, teaching on the mountain is strictly prohibited. Only authorized ski instructors are permitted to conduct lessons through the registered schools. It's important to note that the insurance from Billy Button Babysitting Agency does not cover any winter or mountain sports activities. We strongly advise against accepting offers from non-registered instructors for teaching your child snow sports. This sport is highly technical and can pose a significant risk of injury if not taught by qualified professionals.

Our caregivers are not housekeepers, cleaners, or pet sitters. The service we offer is strictly a Professional Childcare Service. If you have other needs, we are more than happy to connect you with local services that can assist. Additionally, any family with pets must keep all animals separated from the caregiver and children for the entire duration of the booking, as this is a legal insurance compliance requirement.

All our professional carers are experienced in the industry, which allows us to allocate them to bookings based on their specific skill set and, most importantly, the age group they are qualified to work with. Consequently, all carers are scheduled in advance for their specific jobs on the calendar. This system, depending on their availability and our booking calendar, also enables us to provide a more regulated service. 

Daytime bookings are available from 07:00 to 17:00, with a minimum booking of 6 hours during June, July, August, and September, and a minimum of 5 hours from October to May. Evening babysitting services are offered from 17:00 to 00:00, requiring a minimum of 4 hours in June, July, August, and September, and a minimum of 3 hours from October to May.

With your written consent, we will take the child or children in our care out to enjoy the fresh air or visit the local park while you relax in the village during daytime bookings. Our carers have a passion for the outdoors and are familiar with the village facilities that are best suited to your child’s age and interests. Additionally, we bring along some age-appropriate toys and activities to ensure the day is extra fun!

Billy Button Babysitting offers a professional childcare service at your booked accommodation or your home. Our evening care primarily supports dinner and the evening bedtime routine. All the details regarding your child’s evening routine and bedtime will be arranged in advance, ensuring both the carer and the family have peace of mind. Please note that we are unable to facilitate children's bath time routines due to insurance reasons.

We have carers who primarily reside in Jindabyne and the surrounding areas. When booking for Thredbo, it’s important to remember that your carer will be traveling from Jindabyne to provide the service, which can involve navigating a misty drive to and from your booking location. Wildlife is often present on the roads, making the drive a bit more time-consuming. Additionally, the resorts do not operate buses at night, and walking from accommodation to the car park typically takes around 15 minutes. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that the carer can reach your booking and return safely home or to another appointment within a reasonable time frame. To ensure fairness in this process, we have implemented a minimum booking policy.

We are located in a highly sought-after tourist destination and are currently facing a significant shortage of seasonal professionals to meet our industry care needs. As a result, winter rates reflect this demand. You are paying a premium for premium care, ensuring that you receive vetted, qualified, and experienced carers from a fully insured childcare agency. Depending on the length of your booking, we will arrange in advance with you the primary care needs for your child. This will cover everything from their dietary needs and allergies to sleep or activity routines. Our carers are happy to prepare bottles and solid feeds for infants and younger children. Any food supplied by the client will be given to your child according to an agreed schedule for the day. Often, clients prefer to leave some kitty money for the carer, allowing them to take the child or children to one of the local restaurants or cafes for lunch. Additionally, a warm cup of coffee or tea is always appreciated by the carers, especially during those chilly snowy bookings.

Billy Button Babysitting offers a professional childcare service at your booked accommodation or home. Please note that we are not a mothers help service that accompanies you around the village or on the mountain. This year, we are experiencing a very high booking demand and unfortunately do not have enough seasonal staff to provide any services beyond primary childcare at your booked accommodation.

Billy Button Babysitting prioritizes the safety of your child and adheres to strict surveillance rules and regulations. We do not record your child without your consent, and we only share photos and videos as part of our babysitting communication service with you in your private family chat, utilizing end-to-end encrypted communication technology.  

We also respect our carers' right to privacy. By law, consent is required from your carer if you are considering recording them using visual or audio methods. Surveillance and privacy laws vary between states and territories in Australia; however, nanny cams and baby monitors intended to monitor your carer are generally illegal, especially when set up in rented accommodations, hotels, and Airbnb properties. It is normal to show the baby monitor to your carer for bedtime routines, and it is usually switched on and off during the day to facilitate nap time. Full transparency regarding any monitoring device usage and its location must be disclosed, and consent requested for all babysitting bookings.
